1885 Nickel Three Cents. PCGS graded MS-65 CAC Approved. A gorgeous light steel-blue gem. In an old green label holder. Only 1,000 struck for circulation. Extremely rare in Gem Mint State and easily outdistancing the Proofs in this regard. We are lucky if we see one or two sold in auctions per year. Some other dates in the 1880s are scarce in Mint condition, but 1885 tops them all by a long distance! Pop 12; 10 in 66, 2 in 67 (PCGS # 3753) .
